Assupol On-call plus, Assupol Benefits - 23 April

On-call plus is a set of additional benefits that you can enjoy for only R10 per month per life insured. It is an added benefit with additional benefits not included in the coverage.
If an insured person dies, you may be eligible for up to the On-Call Plus benefit amount in one or more payouts.
If a life insured's entire On-Call Plus benefit is claimed as InstantGroceries®, premium-payback may be applicable.
The sum of the On-Call Plus premiums paid by the life insured will increase the benefit amount. This is known as premium payback.
ASSUPOL ON-CALL PLUS BENEFITS
If you paid the extra for on-call plus, here are the benefits you will receive:
- If you file a valid claim and it is approved, you will be paid within minutes rather than 24 hours. The other advantage is an electronic voucher sent to your policy beneficiary or mobile phone.
- You can use the electronic voucher at Checkers, Pick n Pay, and Shoprite stores in South Africa. If the entire amount is not used at once, a new wiCode with the remaining balance will be provided to be used later.
PREPAID ELECTRICITY
Assupol sends you or the beneficiary a code that you can enter into your pre-paid electricity meter.
VEHICLE RENTAL OR CASH FOR TRANSPORT
- Assupol will contact car rental companies on your behalf and negotiate a lower rate. The rental vehicle is subject to the terms of the rental company's contract. The most important requirements are a valid driver's license, deposit tolls, and gasoline.
- Following that, you sign a document acknowledging responsibility for traffic fines and insurance excesses for vehicle damage.
- Using a credit card is not required. The deposit can be made with cash or a debit card. Instead of renting a car, you can request cash and use it to pay for a bus, train, or other mode of transportation.
BUY CELLPHONE AIRTIME WITH ASSUPOL ON-CALL PLUS
You will receive airtime from Assupol to the cellphone number you or your beneficiaries have provided to the system under this benefit. If you or a beneficiary chooses to receive the On-Call Plus benefit in cash, the cash portion will be paid at the same time as the funeral benefit.
