How to purchase safaricom international calling bundles - 20 April
Making international calls from Kenya can be both expensive and relatively inexpensive if certain steps are taken first. While Safaricom does not have the cheapest international calling rates, it does offer some voice bundles that users can use to reduce the cost of making those international calls.
Currently, Kenya's largest service provider allows users to purchase voice bundles that can be used to make calls to four countries: China, Canada, the United States, and India. The bundles are given in minutes and have expiry times of 24 hours, 7 days, and 30 days.
It's worth noting that the voice bundles must be used within the specified expiry period and cannot be reactivated for future use. However, if another bundle is purchased before a previous bundle expires, the previous bundle is reactivated and rolled over for another period.
How to purchase safaricom international calling bundles
- Dial *100# or *200# on your phone, then press call.
- Next, select Products & Services and then click Send.
- Continue to International Calling Bundles.
- You can then select from the following options:
- 6 minutes at Ksh 19 for 24 hours
- Valid for 7 days, 40 minutes at Ksh 99.
- 170 minutes valid for 30 days at Kshs 399
How to check remaining voice bundle for international calls
- Users can verify this by dialing *100# or *200#.
- Alternatively, you can send the word "Balance" to 144.
