QIB SAVINGS ACCOUNT REQUIREMENTS

Below are the requirements for a QIB savings account:

1. Proof of identity: The applicant must submit a valid identification document with his or her picture, such as an Emirate ID (for locals), a passport, or a residence visa (for foreigners).

2. Proof of residential address: provide a recent utility bill, lease agreement, internet bill, or any other document containing your home address.

3. Fill out the account opening form

4. Complete the signature card form.

5. Employment verification (if applicable)

6. A minimum initial deposit of QR 2,000 for locals and QR 20,000 for foreigners, respectively.

The QIN savings account is open to people of all ages.

QIB SAVINGS ACCOUNT REQUIREMENTS FOR A CHILD

Here are the requirements for establishing a Qatar Islamic Bank savings account for your child:

1. Identity proof: The parent/guardian can provide a valid ID or passport for himself/herself, as well as a birth certificate for the child, as proof of identity.

2. Current residential address

5. A minimum opening balance of QR 5000 is required.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SAVINGS AND JOINT ACCOUNT

A joint account requires two people who have agreed to have an account for reasons best known to them, whereas a savings account only requires one person to register and operate.
